Ori and the Blind Forest[]
Map Stone Fragments are pieces of Map Stones that are found throughout Nibel. When a map stone fragment is placed into a map stone, a large portion of the map is revealed. Map stone fragments are scattered throughout Nibel and usually require some extra effort to collect.
The game ignores where a map stone fragment came from, so what portion of the map is revealed is determined solely by the map stone itself. For example, bringing a map stone fragment from the Sunken Glades and using it in the Forlorn Ruins will still reveal all of the Forlorn Ruins.
Ori and the Will of the Wisps[]
Map Stone Fragments are almost entirely absent from Niwen, and the coded information from Map Stones is instead cracked by Lupo, who sells the resulting map as scrolls. However, there is one fragment which can be obtained by giving a water canteen to a Gorlek Miner. Lupo explains that this fragment contains information about treasures hidden throughout Niwen, if the correct Map Stone is found. If the fragment is socketed into the Windtorn Ruins' Map Stone, all collectibles will be revealed on the map.
