Ori and the Blind Forest[]
Kuro's Feather is the 7th skill that Ori learns. It allows them to fall very slowly while also being able to glide. It also will lift Ori up if they are inside of a Wind Tunnel. Ori gains this after successfully distracting Kuro who is blocking the path to the Misty Woods.
Hold Shift (RT/R2 on consoles) while midair to glide using Kuro's Feather.
Ori and the Will of the Wisps[]
Kuro's feather is obtained and used briefly in the opening section of Ori and the Will of the Wisps. It can be found in Ori's treehouse in Swallow's Nest. When Ori and Ku fly to Niwen, a violent storm comes and separates them along with the feather. After Ku is crushed by Shriek, Kuro's Feather is given to Ori by the Moki. On their journey to save Niwen, Ori uses the feather to wake up a giant bear named Baur to access his Reach. After their battle with Shriek, Ori takes out Kuro's Feather and lets it blow away in the wind before embracing Seir.
Trivia[]
- In one of three trailers, Ori can be seen using Kuro's Feather and charged flame to blow up the breakable barrier in Thornfelt Swamp. However this is impossible to obtain without glitching Ori. It may be possible that Ori was able to obtain Kuro's feather in the Beta version but was changed.
- In the prologue for Ori and the Blind Forest, Ori is seen using a leaf from a tree to glide as they would with Kuro's Feather.
